Lanzhou Foci Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a state holding listed company and the “ China Time-honoured Brand ” company with nearly a century of pharmaceutical history. It was established in 1929 in ShangHai and was moved to LanZhou in 1956, as well as, our company listed on the ShenZhen Stock Exchange in 2011(stock code: 002644). At present, Foci has already developed into a modern pharmaceutical company with raw material research, modern formulations production and provide professional process capacity of extraction of traditional chinese medicine, and it becomes as one of the northwestern region of traditional chinese medicine industry backbone enterprises.

So far from now, our company has owned four Production Bases, one Construction of Medical Science Technology Industrial Park and two of wholly owned subsidiaries. Lanzhou Foci employs over 1400 people, including specialists in pharmacology, medical science, chemistry, biology, enconomics and engineering numbering almost 400. In addition to many awards and achievements, our popular products gained a wider international audience after receiving GMP certification from the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration(TGA) in 1996, Chinese State Food and Drug Administration(SFDA) in 1999, and Japan Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare(MHLW) in 2006. The company was designated as Chinese Time-honoured Brand in 2006 by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, and the company was designated as “Famous Trademark of China” in 2010 by the state Administraction of Industry and Commerce. It is over 300 products have been approval by CFDA, as well as, those products are trusted and welcomed by practitioners and consumers around the world including pills, tablets, capsules and granules. Not only the registered trademark of the “FOCI” become the Chinese Well-known Trademark, “BaoShu” and “BaoLu” has also become the GanSu Province famous trademark, as well as, our “MingShan” trademark has become the State Administration for Industry and Commerce to focus on the protection of trademarks.

In addition, our company has established a good cooperative relationship with many famous domestic and foreign research institutes, such as the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Stockholm University, the Tsinghua University and the GanSu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In addition to manufacturing, the Lanzhou Foci Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. also conducts research to develop new herbal drugs at its New Product R&D Center, including the modern chinese medicine technology research center of GanSu and the ZhongRui research center of herb medicine and health products.

Since 1931, the products had been sold to the Southeast Asia and Japan, and the products of Foci are exported to 27 countries for 80 years  including the U.S,  Canada, Japan, Australian, Russia, Ukraine, etc. It were acclaimed by overseas Chinese for their “super raw material, excellent technology, reliable effect and convenient usage ”. Foci was the earliest exporter of chinese medicine and still exports the greatest number of products, and is ranked among the top 10 of traditional chinese medicine exporters.

In July 2011, the “Seminar on European Registration of Traditional Chinese Medicine” was held in LanZhou, the theme of the seminar was “Opportunity, Challenge and Mission”. In the seminar, the participants had deep research and discussion about how to let traditional chinese medicine enter the EU market as a medicine according to the 2004/24/EU Directive. The participants including officials from relevant national ministries, experts from famous Chinese Universities and Scientific Research Institutions, as well as, a number of pharmaceutical companies. Recently, our company was listed by the national ministry of commerce in “the first batch of Traditional Chinese Medicine Service Trade Enterprises”.

Furthermore, our company has a standardized planting base in ZhangXian and LinTan in which the total planting area is nearly ten thousand acres. For the last three years, our company is going to based on the project of LanZhou New District, focusing on the construction of the international and domestic sales network, seizing opportunities, speeding up development, striving to achieve operating income for 1 billion Yuan in three years.
